Arab Bank recently renewed its support for the “Sunbula” initiative in public schools, implemented by “Al-Joud Foundation for Scientific Care” in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, which aims to cultivate and spread the culture of creativity among teachers and students, develop the school environment and address challenges by finding simple creative solutions and achieving a real partnership between teachers, students, school and society.
Maher Kaddoura, Director of Al-Joud Foundation for Scientific Care, a non-profit organization, said: “The bank’s cooperation with Al-Joud Foundation comes with the aim of promoting the concept of sustainable development and planting the seeds of social entrepreneurship among our teachers and young students, to contribute to sustainable development, and contribute to changing the pattern of thinking. Last year, the initiative achieved remarkable success, reaching nearly 1,100 public schools from various governorates of the Kingdom, and at least 7,000 teachers were trained to acquire new skills and tools in the field of entrepreneurship, creativity and solving challenges in simple creative ways, in addition to possessing life and scientific skills through the initiative.
More than 800 projects have been implemented through which unused spaces have been invested in schools to establish service projects that benefit schools and students, which is reflected in improving the school environment. In addition to achieving rapprochement with the local community and strengthening the participatory and cooperative relationship.”
Kaddoura praised the cooperation with Arab Bank as a strategic supporter of this initiative and stressed the importance of this cooperation, which reflects positively on the educational environment.
Kaddoura announced the launch of the fourth phase of the initiative’s implementation in more than 1,000 public schools from all governorates of the Kingdom in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, and with the support of the Arab Bank. Kaddoura pointed out that in Sunbulah 2024, the competition will be at the level of directorates, which increases the chances of winning awards for schools, and registration is still open for all schools to register through the website:

Arab Bank’s support for this initiative comes as part of the Bank’s social responsibility program “Ma’an”, which is a multifaceted program that focuses on developing different aspects of society through various initiatives and activities that contribute to serving several sectors, namely health, combating poverty, protecting the environment, education, supporting orphans and empowering women.
