The American Ambassador to Amman, Yael Lambert, stressed the importance of the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein to the United States of America, coinciding with the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza.

Lambert said in an interview with Jordanian television that the Arab region is going through difficult circumstances, and the timing of the visit was very appropriate as the meeting was of great importance and an opportunity to move forward, as the United States highly appreciates the wisdom of His Majesty the King.

It indicated that His Majesty met with Biden more than any other Arab leader, in addition to discussing with President Biden what is happening in Gaza and attempts to end the crisis permanently and achieve comprehensive peace within the two-state solution.

She indicated that President Biden is aware of and recognizes Jordan's historical role over the Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem, and the importance of the existing and historical status of the Holy Mosque of Jerusalem.
