As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts and coinciding with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, Orange Jordan launched a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening its connection with its Jordanian community in embodying Ramadan values and affirming that “hope exists” if the efforts of all national institutions join together to achieve the best for our society.
Orange Jordan provided cash, in-kind and voluntary donations to the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization, Tkiyet Um Ali, and the King Hussein Cancer Center to support families in Jordan and Palestine as part of various initiatives.
Orange Jordan began the holy month of Ramadan by providing food parcels to various charities that work with cancer patients and people with disabilities.
Orange Jordan believes that its employees are an integral part of achieving its humanitarian mission, so it is keen to live Ramadan values with them. In this context, employees volunteered several times to distribute food parcels and also provided breakfast meals to those who were fasting during the Most Gracious Tables at Tkiyet Um Ali in Jordan.
Because drawing a smile on the faces of others is one of the most important Ramadan values, Orange Jordan cooperates with the Haya Cultural Center to sponsor a group iftar for 100 children. The employees will also draw a smile on their faces as part of the “Draw a Smile in Ramadan” initiative, knowing that the company has allocated the value of the iftars. Ramadan special for employees this year to donate to families in Gaza.
It is worth noting that Orange Jordan has worked over the past months to implement a number of initiatives aimed at supporting families in the Gaza Strip in response to the humanitarian conditions that the Strip is going through.
The initiatives included matching the value of donations on the Orange Money wallet, in continuation of the company’s efforts, which from the first moment provided the option to “support and support the Gaza Strip” on the wallet. Employees also volunteered with Tkiyet Um Ali to pack and prepare emergency food parcels heading to families in the Gaza Strip.
Orange Jordan spared no effort in supporting families in the Gaza Strip, as it worked to donate their necessary and urgent needs, especially the families most affected by the repercussions of the war. Orange was the only telecommunications company that provided 1,000 free minutes to call on all Palestinian networks to check on their families.
