The memorandum of understanding was signed by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Nazir Obaidat, and the CEO of Zain Jordan, Fahd Al-Jassem.
Zain confirmed that this step comes within the framework of the interest it gives to the health sector and its keenness to continue contributing to its development and spreading health awareness among citizens, in line with the third goal (good health and well-being) and the seventeenth goal (concluding partnerships to achieve the goals) of the sustainable development goals that The company adopts it as part of its social responsibility initiatives and programs.
Under this cooperation, the University of Jordan, represented by faculty members and students at the College of Dentistry, and in cooperation with Zain’s free mobile clinic, will organize periodic visits and tours to nursing homes and residential centers, to provide free comprehensive health care services and dispense medications to residents of the homes.
It is noteworthy that the Zain Free Mobile Clinic for Children was established in 2002 to serve children in villages and less fortunate areas continuously and throughout the year. It contains integrated medical equipment and is managed by a qualified staff consisting of a specialized pediatrician and a dentist. The total number of children benefiting from the free Zain Clinic services was The mobile children’s clinic has so far served 253 thousand boys and girls in various parts of the Kingdom, while the clinic’s services are not limited to children, but rather serve all ages and throughout the Kingdom if the need arises.
