Today, Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the Petra Jordanian Mobile Telecommunications Company - Orange Mobile signed an agreement with Arab Bank, which grants the company a financing loan of 30 million dinars, to be repaid over three years.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Orange Mobile by Dr. Shabib Ammari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Telecom - Orange Jordan, and the company’s CEO, Philippe Mansour, and on behalf of Arab Bank by the Jordan Area Manager, Walid Samhouri, in the presence of a number of executive managers from both sides.
On the sidelines of signing the agreement, Mansour emphasized the importance of this step in enabling Orange to achieve its expansion strategy, saying: “This financing will help Orange grow and develop its services in the Kingdom.”
Investing in infrastructure is a fundamental factor in enhancing the digital services provided to customers, hence the pivotal role of this agreement in boosting efforts in this field.
For his part, the company’s Deputy CEO, Ruslan Deiranieh, stressed the importance of the agreement in providing the requirements for delivering services to its subscribers, who number over 4 million, and enabling it to provide these services with global quality and unprecedented speeds that match what is offered in international markets.
Deiranieh added that the agreement would positively reflect on the company’s operational performance and would enhance its revenues in light of providing reliable services to its subscribers through a comprehensive expansion plan.
Commenting on this agreement, Samhouri said: “Arab Bank is one of the leading banks in providing solutions and banking services to companies at the regional level, and this agreement comes as part of the bank’s commitment to providing the necessary support and financing to its corporate sector clients, with the aim of keeping up with their evolving financial needs and offering specialized banking and financing solutions based on the needs and requirements of this category of companies.”
Samhouri added that through this agreement, Arab Bank will play a pivotal role in supporting the telecommunications sector in light of the significant growth it is witnessing, by providing the necessary financing to develop its infrastructure according to the highest international standards, and he affirmed the importance of the telecommunications sector as a fundamental driver of the services sector and one of the most important components of the national economy.
