The first international conference titled “The Future of Sustainability in the Business Environment: Practical Experiences” was inaugurated today at Al-Balqa Applied University in collaboration with Amman Al-Ahliyya University.
The conference witnessed significant participation from researchers and enthusiasts. Several important topics related to sustainability in the business environment were discussed, including future challenges, sustainable marketing, social responsibility, sustainability systems for business intelligence, and digital transformation.
During the opening session, Dr. Iman Al-Nazli, Dean of Research at Amman Al-Ahliyya University, delivered a welcoming speech. She expressed her honor in representing Amman Al-Ahliyya University at this distinguished conference. Dr. Al-Nazli emphasized that this conference marks a significant milestone as it is the first of its kind held in collaboration between two prestigious universities in Al-Balqa Governorate: Amman Al-Ahliyya University and Al-Balqa Applied University. She further extended her gratitude to Dr. Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, President of Al-Balqa Applied University, and Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of Amman Al-Ahliyya University, for their support in ensuring the success of this conference. The Research Dean’s Office at Amman Al-Ahliyya University is closely monitoring the arrangements and necessary procedures for evaluating research papers presented at the conference, specifically those related to sustainable development. These selected papers will be published in a special issue of the Al-Balqa Journal of Research and Studies, which is issued by the Research Dean’s Office.
Dr. Al-Nazli expressed her hopes for the success and excellence of both universities in serving research areas related to sustainable development and other national, regional, and global research needs.
The opening ceremony concluded with an exchange of appreciation and awards between representatives of the two universities.
Tomorrow, on May 8, 2024, Amman Al-Ahliyya University is set to host the second day of conference events. This reflects the effective collaboration between the two universities, encompassing knowledge exchange, scientific research, community service, and research cooperation at both regional and international levels. Researchers from various countries will present scientific papers on sustainable development, which will undergo evaluation by the Al-Balqa Journal of Research and Studies department affiliated with the Research Dean’s Office at Amman Al-Ahliyya University for inclusion in a special conference issue.
