On the sidelines of the Jordanian-Kurdish Higher Education Forum 2024, a series of memorandums of understanding were signed in the city of Erbil between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and several universities in Erbil, within the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
The President of the University, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, signed scientific and academic exchange agreements that enhance the cultural and educational ties between the two countries with Salahuddin, Tishk, and Hawler Universities.
Professor Dr. Hamdan expressed his pleasure in signing these memorandums, pointing out the importance of academic cooperation between universities in both countries and its vital role in developing the path of sustainable development. He confirmed Al-Ahliyya Amman’s readiness to enhance these relations through the exchange of academic and research programs and the development of educational opportunities for students and researchers.
The University President will continue his tour of the Kurdish universities in the Sulaymaniyah and Dohuk governorates to conclude more cooperation agreements.
It is worth mentioning that this step comes in the context of ongoing efforts to enhance international cooperation in higher education and to strengthen the cultural and academic ties of the university with higher education institutions around the world
