London-Based Arab Bankers Association Honors Randa Al-Sadiq with 2025 Distinguished Contributions Award

London — The Arab Bankers Association (ABA), a leading professional society for bankers and financial professionals across the Arab world and the United Kingdom, has named Ms. Randa Al-Sadiq, Chief Executive Officer of Arab Bank, as the recipient of its "Distinguished Contributions to the Arab Banking Sector Award for 2025."

The prestigious award was presented during the Association’s annual gala, recently held in London and attended by a distinguished gathering of senior Arab, European, and international financial and banking figures. The accolade recognizes Al-Sadiq’s outstanding efforts and impactful contributions to the Arab banking industry.

Commenting on the honor, Mr. Gaby Fadel, CEO of the Arab Bankers Association, stated: "We are delighted to recognize Ms. Randa Al-Sadiq for her remarkable achievements. Her astute leadership at Arab Bank – one of the most venerable financial institutions in the Middle East and North Africa – has made her the most deserving personality for this prestigious award."

A Trailblazing Leader

Ms. Randa Al-Sadiq has served as Chief Executive Officer of Arab Bank since 2022, making her the first woman to hold the top executive position in the bank's history. She brings to the role over four decades of banking experience, beginning her career in 1986.

Prior to joining Arab Bank in 2010 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Al-Sadiq held several key leadership positions at the National Bank of Kuwait, both in Kuwait and London, building a robust international finance profile.

Her influence and leadership have been widely acknowledged. Forbes Middle East has listed her among the "100 Most Powerful Businesswomen in the Middle East" for both 2024 and 2025.

Academic and Professional Credentials

Al-Sadiq holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Banking from the American University of Beirut. Her deep engagement with the industry's professional community is further evidenced by her previous service on the Board of Directors of the Arab Bankers Association from 2003 to 2007.

The award underscores her role as a pivotal figure in Arab finance, celebrating a career dedicated to excellence, innovation, and leadership in the regional banking sector.
