Middle East University held a religious ceremony to mark Isra and Mi’raj anniversary, under patronage of Chairman of Board of Trustees Dr Yaqoub Nassereddin, with notable official and academic attendance.
The programme, attended by Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites representative Dr Sultan Al Qaraleh, included religious and cultural segments highlighting spiritual and intellectual meanings of Isra and Mi’raj.
Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Awqaf, Dr Al Qaraleh delivered a sermon focusing on spiritual and educational dimensions of the occasion, stressing values of faith, patience and spiritual elevation, and linking religious principles to sound human and social behaviour.
The event reflects Middle East University’s commitment to marking major religious occasions and reinforcing ethical and cultural values within campus life, in line with its academic and educational mission, and contributing to building a balanced, aware university character rooted in religious values and cultural identity.
The celebration also featured religious competitions and nasheed performances by university students, with participation from a Ministry of Awqaf ensemble.
