Jordan's King Abdullah II issued a Royal Decree on Wednesday appointing Hazem Abdel Salam Al-Majali as the head of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC), according to state-aligned media.
The appointment takes effect immediately and covers the remainder of the current board's term.
The decree followed the acceptance of Dr. Muhannad Ali Hijazi's resignation from the post, which was also effective as of April 8, 2026.
The JIACC is the primary government body responsible for investigating financial and administrative corruption within the kingdom. No specific reason was provided for Hijazi's departure.
