: U.S. President Donald Trump concluded a meeting on Friday that was previously framed as a session to make a final decision regarding reaching an understanding with Iran, according to a White House official.
The official did not clarify whether Trump had made a decision during the meeting, which was held in the White House Situation Room. The New York Times reported that the meeting lasted for two hours and that Trump did not make any immediate decision following it.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "no negotiations" are currently underway regarding its nuclear program, after U.S. President Donald Trump indicated that Washington would handle the extraction of enriched materials in coordination with Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and subsequently destroy them.
The ministry's spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, told Iranian state television on Friday, "At this stage, we are focused on ending the war, and there are no negotiations regarding the nuclear issue."
An Iranian source stated that President Donald Trump's remarks about the United States revealing the presence of uranium are "incorrect." The source pointed out that Tehran and Washington have reached a political understanding regarding the war, but it has not been finalized yet.
Trump had written on the Truth Social platform that the enriched materials in Iran are buried underground as a result of an attack carried out by B-2 bombers 11 months ago.
