Ahmed bin Saud Al Siyabi, Secretary-General of the Omani Fatwa Office, inaugurated the new building of the Oman Research and Studies Center and its affiliated library at Al al-Bayt University.

Al Siyabi and Abdulrahman bin Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili, Director of the Committees and External Relations Department at the Omani Fatwa Office, toured the center's facilities in the presence of Al al-Bayt University President Osama Nusier and Oman's ambassador to Jordan, Fahad Abdul Rahman Alojaili.

During the tour, the delegation received a briefing from the center's director, Mohammad Bani Khaled, on the center's newly upgraded facilities and its role in promoting Oman's rich culture and history. He said the center contributes to academic life through specialized lectures and seminars, as well as by organizing Omani conferences and scientific events at the university.

Al Siyabi also inaugurated a library specializing in Omani history and heritage at the Hashemite Library building. The library, affiliated with the Oman Research and Studies Center, houses a large collection of books and references on Omani literature, history, culture and civilization, in addition to publications from conferences and scientific events organized by the center since its establishment at the university.

Nuseir highlighted the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Jordan and Oman at both the leadership and people-to-people levels. He praised the role played by Al Siyabi and Al Khalili in establishing the Oman Research and Studies Center and in strengthening academic and cultural cooperation between Al al-Bayt University and the Omani Fatwa Office, with support from the Omani Embassy in Amman.

Nseir said the university looks forward to expanding scientific and cultural cooperation with Omani institutions in ways that promote the exchange of expertise and knowledge and strengthen shared achievements between the two sides.
