Ministry of Transport Secretary General Fares Abu Dayyeh on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review transport projects listed under the second executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision (2026-2029) and regional development plans.
The meeting at the ministry’s headquarters included heads of affiliated authorities and corporations, the Prime Ministry’s Government Performance and Achievement Follow-up Unit, and representatives from the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM).
Discussions focused on progress across priority projects in land, maritime, air, and passenger transport, alongside infrastructure development and logistics services. Participants reviewed project timelines and implementation mechanisms to ensure alignment with targets set by the Economic Modernization Vision.
Officials emphasized the importance of inter-agency coordination and regular monitoring to upgrade the transport network and support regional development initiatives following recent cabinet visits to governorate councils.
The meeting was attended by Chief Commissioner of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Captain Dhaifallah Al-Farajat, Director General of the Jordan Hejaz Railway Corporation Zahi Khalil, Director General of the Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) Riyad Al-Kharabsheh, and Acting Director General of the Jordan Maritime Commission Mohammad Al-Ashal, as well as relevant stakeholders //Petra// AF
