Minister of Youth Raed Adwan said the ministry is continuing to implement its plan to activate youth centers through three key pillars: upgrading youth and sports infrastructure to provide safe and youth-friendly spaces, enhancing training programs offered by the centers to meet the needs and aspirations of young people, and empowering youth workers.

Speaking during a visit on Wednesday to the Naour Youth Center in Amman, attended by Amman Youth Directorate Director Thamer Al-Nsour and Naour District Administrator Shadi Al-Bakhit, Adwan met with members of the local community as well as heads and representatives of clubs and civil society institutions.

He said the ministry places significant emphasis on ensuring the sustainability of existing youth and sports facilities and developing new ones under a carefully planned strategy linked to the condition and needs of facilities in each governorate. He added that the ministry also supports club plans and programs in accordance with club-support regulations focused on youth empowerment and service to local communities.

During the visit, Adwan reviewed renovation and rehabilitation work carried out at the center, which included comprehensive maintenance of the building, refurbishment of training halls, external facilities, and a five-a-side football pitch covering 1,000 square metres, as well as the installation of modern lighting. Improvements were also made to indoor and outdoor facilities, and new air-conditioning units were installed.

Adwan also toured the fitness hall and a computer laboratory equipped with 12 computers, internet services and interactive screens. He visited vocational training workshops in sewing and beauty services, which help develop the skills of young men and women and prepare them for the labour market.

During the tour, a group of center members enrolled in the ministry's taekwondo program, implemented in cooperation with the Jordan Taekwondo Federation, staged a sports demonstration, showcasing the athletic skills they have acquired since the start of the training course.
