The Israeli military stated that Iran made a "grave mistake" by launching a missile attack on Israel on Sunday.
Israeli military spokesperson Avi Defrin said in a televised statement, "The Iranian terrorist regime has made a grave mistake by once again choosing the path of terror."
On Sunday evening, Iran launched missiles toward Israel, marking the first attack since the ceasefire took effect.
In an earlier statement, the Israeli military said it detected missiles launched from Iran toward Israel, and that air defense systems are actively working to intercept the threat.
The Israeli military also noted that sirens are sounding across several areas following the missile launches from Iran.
The Home Front Command sent precautionary directives directly to mobile phones in the affected areas.
