The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Algiers, hosted a formal reception under the patronage of the Jordanian Ambassador to Algeria, Aahed Sweidat. The event celebrated the 80th anniversary of Jordan's independence and its national occasions.
The Algerian government was represented at the high-level official gathering by the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Dr. Waseem Kouidri. The event was also attended by representatives of the speakers of both houses of the Algerian Parliament, several lawmakers, members of the Constitutional Court and the judiciary, alongside accredited Arab and foreign ambassadors, diplomatic corps members, editors-in-chief of major newspapers and satellite channels, and members of the Jordanian community in Algeria.
Deep-Rooted Bilateral Ties and Modernization
During his address, Ambassador Sweidat reviewed Jordan's ongoing journey of achievement, comprehensive modernization, and development under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II. He also emphasized the depth and resilience of the historic fraternal relations connecting Jordan and Algeria, reiterating a mutual commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Showcasing Jordanian Investment and Culture
On the sidelines of the reception, a dedicated pavilion was set up showcasing Jordanian companies and banks operating in Algeria, highlighting strong economic ties. Additionally, the event featured several cultural and heritage segments that spotlighted Jordan's rich traditions and unique tourism appeal.
