The Northern Military Region thwarted an illegal border infiltration attempt early Sunday after five individuals attempted to cross the Kingdom's border within the military zone's area of responsibility.

According to the Jordan Armed Forces, border guard units detected the group during the attempted crossing and applied the rules of engagement, leading to the arrest of all five individuals.

The detainees were subsequently handed over to the competent authorities to complete the required legal procedures.
