Ministry of Labor expressed its "commitment" to policies for regulating and controlling the Kingdom's labor market, amid attempts aimed to spread misinformation and false news to derail its work for private interests.

The ministry denied accuracy of information circulating on some social media platforms alleging service termination of several employees and appointment of others.

In a statement issued Thursday, the ministry noted the target staff were previously hired on a project-based basis and their services were terminated at the beginning of 2024.

The ministry added that this termination process is governed by two criteria, either the project's completion or depletion of its allocated funds, whichever comes first, adding that the enterprise in question had been closed.

Regarding service purchase, the ministry stated it had contracted a group of individuals to temporarily fill certain positions for a limited period.

The ministry noted these vacancies were advertised under the competitive recruitment procedure, in coordination with the Service and Public Administration Commission.

"Exams and personal interviews were conducted, in accordance with the Public Sector Human Resources System No. 33 of 2024 and its related amendments and the instructions," the ministry pointed out.
