The joint Jordanian-Libyan military exercise "Al-Tarabot" (Interconnection) concluded on Saturday, following training conducted by the King Abdullah II Special Forces and the Special Forces of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces.

The closing ceremony was attended by Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Khalifa Haftar, and Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Training, Brigadier General Naji Manasir.

Lieutenant General Haftar and senior officers from both countries received a briefing on the exercise's phases and objectives before observing the final activities.

He praised the participants' high level of readiness, professionalism, and ability to carry out assigned missions efficiently.

Brigadier General Manasir highlighted the importance of joint exercises in strengthening military coordination, enhancing operational cooperation and exchanging expertise to improve the defence capabilities and combat readiness of both armed forces.

Held in a simulated urban combat environment, the exercise featured tactical scenarios including building assaults, hostage rescue, counterterrorism operations and emergency response. Participating forces demonstrated a high degree of precision, coordination and operational proficiency.

The exercise was designed to enhance joint military cooperation, exchange operational and training expertise and improve the readiness of participating forces to respond to evolving security threats using modern military concepts and tactics.

The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army said the exercise reflects its commitment to expanding military cooperation with allied and friendly countries, strengthening strategic partnerships and sharing expertise in special operations and counterterrorism to support regional and international security and stability.
