Two people were killed on Wednesday evening in an Israeli drone strike on the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon.

A Lebanese security source told Petra's correspondent in Beirut that Israeli warplanes and drones targeted the towns of Baraachit, Beit Yahoun and Qounine in the Nabatieh district, as well as the Jabal Ali al-Taher area.

The source said Israeli artillery shelled Jabal Ali al-Taher, the towns of Baraachit, Beit Yahoun and Deir Sirian, and the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, including Mayfadoun, the Zawtar junction and Hadatha.

According to the source, the Israeli military carried out strikes on the towns of Deir Sirian, Oula, Bint Jbeil, Arnoun and Taybeh.
