First Deputy Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Khamis Atieh stated on Sunday that the 20th parliament represents the implementation of royal directives aimed at modernizing the political and partisan system and elevating parliamentary life in the kingdom.

Speaking during an appearance on the "Parliament Dome" program broadcast on Al Mamlaka TV, Atieh said that parliamentary life in Jordan is experiencing a pivotal phase in the state's history. He noted that the lower house’s role extends beyond passing legislation to working with a national spirit that reflects the political, economic, and social reform vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Atieh added that institutional development requires continuous review of regulations, stressing that any institution seeking progress must re-evaluate its organizational tools to keep pace with changes and achieve optimal performance levels.
