Yemen's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has strongly condemned the latest Iranian attacks targeting Jordan and Kuwait, describing them as a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the two brotherly countries, as well as of international law and the United Nations Charter.
In a statement distributed by the Yemeni Embassy in Amman on Friday, the ministry reaffirmed Yemen's full solidarity with Jordan and Kuwait, stressing its support for all legitimate measures taken by the two countries to safeguard their security, sovereignty and the safety of their citizens.
The ministry held the Iranian regime fully responsible for what it described as its continued "aggressive approach," warning that its consequences extend beyond attacks on neighboring countries to undermining regional peace and security and fueling instability through escalation, the use of proxy forces and armed groups. It said such actions threaten international navigation, target civilian facilities and further destabilize the region.
The Yemeni Foreign Ministry also stressed that past experience has shown that ignoring such actions only encourages further escalation and expands the scope of the threat. It called for a firmer international stance to deter Iran, enforce international law, and cut off support for terrorist groups and armed militias, which it described as among the most dangerous sources of instability in the region.
