The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced that maintenance operations on the Ma'an–Badia road will commence on Saturday as part of a comprehensive tender to rehabilitate several vital primary roads across the Southern Region.
Scope of Maintenance & Upgrades
Pavement & Asphalt Works: Milling and removing damaged asphalt layers, repairing sunken road sections, and laying new polymer-modified asphalt surfaces.
Traffic Safety Infrastructure: Repainting road lanes, installing pavement reflectors, and maintaining concrete barriers and expansion joints according to standard technical specifications.
Strategic Objective: Enhancing overall road network efficiency, maintaining infrastructure, and improving safety and sustainability for commuters across southern Jordan.
Traffic Management & Safety Directives
The operations will be executed in coordination with the Public Security Directorate (PSD) under a temporary traffic plan designed to maintain smooth traffic flow and minimize delays.
The Ministry calls on all drivers to strictly adhere to warning signs, comply with instructions from ministry field staff and traffic police, and exercise safe driving practices to ensure public safety throughout the execution period.
