Amman — Chief Commissioner of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC), Ziyad Al-Sa'aydeh, revealed that the commission detected instances of gasoline tampering and closed 12 gas stations out of 770 operating across Jordan since the beginning of the year.
The remarks came during a meeting with the House of Representatives' Energy and Mineral Resources Committee on Sunday, convened to address growing public complaints regarding accelerated gasoline evaporation rates and unusually high fuel consumption in vehicles.
