U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that the United States is in total control of the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that his country may maintain this control.
In a post on his "Truth Social" platform on Wednesday, Trump added that the U.S. naval blockade on Iran has become universally known as a "wall of steel," asserting that "there is nothing Iran can do about it".
Trump accused Iran of possessing neither naval nor air forces, claiming that its remaining soldiers are unpaid, while asserting that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been "decimated" with its members fleeing, and describing the Iranian leadership as "unstable at best".
He added that Iran "has no money" and its economy is "ruined," stating that all it possesses is "fake news and 300% inflation, which is getting worse".
Trump characterized Iran as the "bully of the Middle East no longer," concluding his post with the phrase "Thank God".
Trump had previously asserted that the U.S. Navy is enforcing a blockade on Iran, describing the strait as being under the complete control of the United States.
