​According to Haaretz, approximately 10 to 15 Israeli settlers positioned themselves on Saturday morning opposite Palestinian family homes in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, despite an Israeli military operation to evacuate outposts and lift the blockade on the families.
​The newspaper quoted its correspondent reporting that Israeli forces are not effectively enforcing the closure order that covers a wide expanse of the area, allowing settlers to remain inside, positioned between abandoned Palestinian structures or unfinished buildings deep within Area B.
​The report noted that settlers are currently dispersed across other points on the hilltop, with some stationed near Israeli security forces vehicles.
​Reactions continue to mount following the siege imposed by settlers on homes in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank. Settlers blocked access roads leading to the homes with stones, pitched a tent in the vicinity, prevented family members from entering, leaving, or receiving visitors, and cut off water and electricity supplies.
​The siege began on Sunday, August 9, 2026, when a number of settlers pitched a temporary tent near homes in Qusra, including a home belonging to a Palestinian holding U.S. citizenship, which residents said prevented supplies from reaching the area.
​The besieged families are living under continuous pressure, at a time when the United Nations confirmed that around 15 Palestinians, including two children, are trapped inside the homes and face difficulty meeting their basic needs due to the water and electricity outage.
