The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the illegal entry of the Israeli Defense Minister into the Syrian Arab Republic and his crossing of Syria's international borders, characterizing it as a flagrant violation of Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a blatant breach of international law.
Official Spokesperson for the Ministry, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, affirmed the Kingdom's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of this dangerous violation, describing it as an infringement on the sovereignty of an Arab nation and an unacceptable, provocative escalation. Al-Majali stressed the necessity of halting all Israeli actions targeting Syria's security and stability, noting that such measures violate the UN Charter and Israel's obligations under the 1974 Agreement on Disengagement.
Al-Majali called on the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities by compelling Israel to cease its illegal, provocative incursions into Syria, end its occupation of Syrian territory, and respect international law, international legitimacy resolutions, state sovereignty, and non-interference in domestic affairs.
He reiterated Jordan's firm stance in supporting Syria in rebuilding on foundations that ensure its unity, sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity, while safeguarding the rights of all Syrian citizens.
