Two Palestinian women and a 14-year-old girl were wounded by Israeli live fire late last night in the town of Al-Karmel, south of Hebron.
Israeli forces raided the town, deploying across its streets and raiding several Palestinian homes to convert them into military posts, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA. Soldiers then opened fire on a civilian vehicle carrying several women, inflicting face and head injuries on two women aged 58 and 30, as well as a 14-year-old girl.
Al-Karmel Mayor Qassim Abu Arram, whose wife was among the injured, stated that Israeli soldiers peppered the vehicle with heavy gunfire without prior warning or rationale. He emphasized that there were no military checkpoints or obvious signs indicating an ongoing raid in the immediate area.
Abu Arram added that his wife and the young girl sustained critical facial injuries from expanding "dumdum" bullets, while the third woman suffered facial shrapnel wounds.
