The Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) affirmed Wednesday that changes in drug smuggling tactics and the deployment of non-traditional methods will not deter Border Guard forces from confronting them.
The Eastern Military Region foiled four separate smuggling attempts using guided balloons early Wednesday morning, seizing approximately half a million narcotic pills.
The Armed Forces emphasized that Border Guard personnel continue to monitor and track all forms of illicit activity across border zones, noting the ongoing use of guided balloons in attempted drug trafficking operations.
