Jordan, through the Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), on Thursday dispatched the 13th humanitarian aid convoy in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army and the World Food Programme (WFP), to meet humanitarian needs in the affected areas.
The convoy was prepared based on a field needs assessment, aiming to support the health sector and provide essential supplies to the most vulnerable groups. The Organization continues, in cooperation with its international partners, to coordinate aid and direct it toward priority sectors, with the convoy comprising 14 trucks loaded with medical supplies, materials, and personal hygiene kits.
The convoy comes as a continuation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan's approach to offering humanitarian support and assistance to sisterly nations, reflecting Jordan's commitment to its humanitarian role in standing alongside those affected and most in need.
The Organization expressed its appreciation to the Syrian authorities for their cooperation and for facilitating the transit of the convoy, ensuring the arrival of aid to the target beneficiaries and supporting joint humanitarian efforts.
It is worth noting that the Hashemite Charity Organization works in coordination with official Lebanese authorities to ensure the delivery of various aid supplies to the most affected areas and cover needs that directly impact beneficiaries' lives, with 12 convoys comprising 239 trucks carrying 2,756 tons of diverse relief materials having been sent since the beginning of the crisis.
