Based on the National Charter Party's belief that local administration represents one of the most vital avenues for national development, and that municipalities are essential partners in improving citizens' lives and responding to their priorities, and to reinforce the party's approach to broadening political and party participation, the party announces opening expressions of interest for running in municipal elections to its members across the Kingdom's various branches.
This measure comes within the framework of early and organized preparation for the municipal electoral process, and the party's keenness to provide the opportunity to its members who possess the desire, capability, and competence to run in these elections, thereby enabling the party to identify national talents and capacities capable of representing it, bearing the responsibility of municipal work, and serving citizens.
The National Charter Party's participation in municipal elections stems from a clear vision that considers the municipality to be not merely an institution for providing services, but rather a developmental institution close to the citizen, capable of directly impacting their quality of life and the level of services they receive, in addition to its role in enhancing the urban environment, stimulating the local economy, encouraging investment, creating job opportunities, and strengthening partnerships with the private sector and local community.
The party affirms that selecting its candidates will be based on clear and objective criteria, chief among them competence, integrity, leadership and public service capabilities, community presence and trust, commitment to the party's political program, and the ability to understand the needs of local communities and offer practical, actionable solutions, away from personal or factional considerations or any factors inconsistent with the party's standards and values.
The party stresses that expressing interest in running does not constitute a final candidacy, nor does it represent approval or endorsement of the applicant; rather, it serves as an initial organizational step to survey interested candidates, review their applications, and verify their fulfillment of legal and organizational requirements and the standards adopted by the party, in preparation for making candidacy decisions in accordance with the party's approved institutional frameworks and applicable laws.
The National Charter Party calls on its members across various branches in the Kingdom to take the initiative and engage positively with this step by submitting expressions of interest within the specified dates and procedures. It emphasizes that the party views the municipal elections as an opportunity to translate its political program into practical application on the ground, reinforce its presence in local communities, and present a new party model in local administration centered on efficiency, achievement, integrity, accountability, and citizen service.
The party also emphasizes that its participation in the municipal elections comes within the context of its national project aimed at consolidating party life, expanding the base of popular participation in decision-making, empowering national competencies to assume their responsibilities in public work, and enhancing the role of local administration in achieving balanced and sustainable development across all regions of the Kingdom.
The National Charter Party stresses that the success of local administration begins with selecting the most competent and capable individuals to serve the public, and that municipal work for the party is not an electoral end in itself, but rather a national responsibility and a genuine opportunity to make a tangible difference in citizens' lives.
