As part of its commitment to supporting digital transformation in the banking sector, fostering innovation in financial services, and contributing to the development of the Kingdom's fintech ecosystem—in line with the rapid developments witnessed by the financial sector locally and regionally—Jordan Commercial Bank sponsored the events of the 2026 Jordan Fintech Festival. The festival kicked off on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, and spanned two days at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre at the Dead Sea under the theme "Where Regulation Meets Innovation." It was organized by the Central Bank of Jordan in partnership with the Association of Banks in Jordan, and in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), featuring the participation of a group of financial institutions, regulatory bodies, fintech companies, investors, and experts from Jordan, the region, and the world.
The festival aimed to enhance the fintech ecosystem in the Kingdom, support digital transformation and financial inclusion, and cement Jordan's position as a regional hub for fintech and innovation. It brought together decision-makers, banking and financial institution leaders, regulatory bodies, startups, investors, and technology companies to discuss key developments in the financial services sector. Attendees explored cooperation, investment, and partnership opportunities, while exchanging knowledge and experiences in fintech and innovation. Discussions covered prominent topics such as digital payments, digital transformation in the banking and financial sectors, open financial services, digital assets and blockchain technologies, embedded finance, banking-as-a-platform, as well as entrepreneurship, investment, and the development of the startup ecosystem.
Jordan Commercial Bank's sponsorship and participation in this event emphasize the importance of partnerships between the banking sector, regulatory bodies, technology companies, and innovators. It highlights the role of these partnerships in keeping pace with transformations in the financial sector, supporting the digital transformation journey, fostering a more innovative and competitive business environment, and developing banking and digital solutions that meet customer needs while enhancing the efficiency of financial services.
At the conclusion of the festival, Jordan Commercial Bank was honored and presented with a plaque of appreciation in recognition of its role in supporting the event and backing efforts aimed at developing the fintech ecosystem in the Kingdom, as well as promoting innovation and digital transformation in the banking and financial sectors.
