As part of efforts aimed at expanding Jordan's global tourism presence, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Emad Hijazeen met on Thursday with Sinan Ceyha Turksiven, Director General of the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), to explore strategic partnerships aimed at boosting tourist arrivals to the Kingdom and unlocking new marketing channels. The meeting took place during a series of tourism engagements held in Istanbul.
​The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Republic of Türkiye, Hazem Al-Khatib Al-Tamimi, alongside representatives from the Jordan Hotel Association (JHA) and the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA). Discussions focused on targeting the Turkish travel market, creating joint tourism packages, and leveraging Istanbul’s role as a global aviation hub to connect with European and Asian markets, alongside enhancing cooperation in digital marketing and destination management best practices.
​Hijazeen emphasized that the upcoming phase demands a shift from conventional promotion toward high-value strategic partnerships that yield tangible tourist traffic, lengthen hotel stays, and increase tourism revenues. He underscored the importance of integrating governmental and diplomatic endeavors with private-sector initiatives to boost Jordan’s competitive edge and consolidate its standing as a diverse, sustainable global travel destination.
