The Secretary-General of the Azem Party, Eng. Zaid Naffaa, alongside all party members, issued a strong condemnation on Friday following a terrorist attack targeting the Greek Orthodox Church in the town of Humud, Karak Governorate. The party denounced all criminal acts aimed at compromising the security and safety of Jordanians or threatening the nation’s deeply rooted national unity and social fabric.
Eng. Naffaa emphasized, on behalf of the Azem Party, that Jordanian national unity is a foundational value, an absolute constant, and a historic covenant that unites all Jordanians. He stated that attempts to undermine the nation's security and stability will fail to shake the public resolve, noting that Jordanians stand as one family united in history and destiny, resolute against any attempts to incite division, instill fear, or disrupt societal cohesion.
During this painful juncture, the Azem Party affirmed its full backing of His Majesty King Abdullah II and expressed total support for Jordan's security agencies as they investigate the crime, pursue those responsible, and bring the perpetrators and orchestrators to justice.
The party stressed that national and moral responsibility requires maintaining wisdom, solidarity, and unity, urging citizens not to allow the incident to be exploited for spreading rumors or fueling division. It highlighted that safeguarding Jordan's security, stability, and national unity remains a collective responsibility.
In conclusion, the Azem Party extended its sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, their loved ones, and the broader Jordanian community, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured and praying for the continued safety, security, and unity of the Hashemite Kingdom.
