In an article addressing the recent terrorist attack targeting a church in Karak Governorate, Sheikh Faisal Al-Humoud Al-Malik Al-Sabah condemned the assault as a violation of the sanctity of houses of worship and human security, emphasizing that it starkly contradicts religious and humanitarian values.
Sheikh Faisal noted that while the attack attempts to undermine the principles of coexistence and tolerance that form the bedrock of Jordanian society, Jordan’s history demonstrates that the willpower of its people and their unified ranks are far stronger than any attempts to sow fear or disrupt stability. "Jordan is impervious to terrorism, and acts of violence will not shake the cohesion of its national fabric or its people's capacity to protect their unity," he wrote.
Highlighting that targeting houses of worship threatens the fundamental human right to safety and worship rather than any single religion, the article stressed that religious diversity remains a source of enrichment supported by mutual respect. Furthermore, it emphasized that countering extremism requires more than law enforcement—it demands social awareness against hatred and responsible discourse that prevents bad actors from achieving division.
Expressing Kuwait’s firm solidarity with its Jordanian brothers, Sheikh Faisal extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Jordan, praying for the speedy recovery of the injured and the enduring preservation of the Hashemite Kingdom under its leadership and people.
"Jordan will remain impervious to terrorism, proud in the unity of its people, and steadfast in its values of tolerance and coexistence," the article concluded.
