In line with promoting health awareness and establishing the concept of social responsibility, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in cooperation with the King Hussein Cancer Center and the Genetics Club, organized an awareness lecture on Sunday, October 25, 2026, on the occasion of World Breast Cancer Awareness Day at the university's Al-Hourani Auditorium.
The event commenced with a minute of silence for the souls of the Karak martyrs, followed by a welcoming address delivered by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nour Al-Dabbas. She expressed the university's appreciation for the King Hussein Cancer Center's efforts in spreading health awareness, emphasizing the importance of promoting medical literacy among students and encouraging them to adopt healthy practices.
The lecture covered several key pillars related to breast cancer awareness, focusing on the importance of early detection, introducing prevention methods, and highlighting the necessity of regular check-ups, alongside raising awareness of healthy behaviors that contribute to maintaining health and reducing risks.
On the sidelines of the event, an awareness booth was set up in front of Al-Hourani Auditorium, where educational materials and informational pamphlets were distributed to university students. The initiative aimed to deliver health messages and encourage students to spread health knowledge within their community.
This event falls within Al-Ahliyya Amman University's ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with national health institutions and activate its role in community service through organizing awareness activities that contribute to promoting a culture of health and emphasizing the importance of prevention and early detection.
