​The Jordan Hotels Association participated in the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX 2026), hosted in the city of Aqaba under Royal patronage, with broad international participation from official delegations, institutions, and companies specializing in defense and security industries.
​Vice Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association, Hani Al-Dabbas, commended the advanced level of organization at the exhibition, emphasizing that Jordan’s hosting of this international event reflects its strategic status and international confidence in its organizational capabilities, stability, and competence in hosting major events.
​Al-Dabbas noted that the importance of SOFEX extends beyond its specialized defense and security nature, serving as an international platform with far-reaching economic and tourism impacts. He added that the event contributes to stimulating hotel activity, invigorating supporting sectors, and enhancing Jordan's competitiveness in conference and exhibition tourism.
​He stressed that sustaining the economic impact of such events requires translating international momentum into investment opportunities and qualitative partnerships, thereby reinforcing Aqaba's standing as a regional hub for business and international events, and consolidating the tourism sector's role as a primary pillar of the national economy.
