Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression on Hebron for the eighth consecutive day, deploying large military reinforcements toward the Deir Bahhah area west of the city, raiding a residential house, and forcing a new group of families into forced displacement from the area, according to the Palestinian news agency "Wafa."
Eyewitnesses stated that the occupation forces deployed additional military reinforcements accompanied by engineering units from the northern entrance of Hebron ("Farsh Al-Hawa") toward the Deir Bahhah area, which has been closed and besieged by the occupation since last Friday.
They added that occupation forces raided the home of Palestinian Hammouda Al-Ja'bari, whom the occupation accuses alongside Ahmad Al-Ja'bari of carrying out a shooting attack in the Farsh Al-Hawa area last week, and commenced excavation and destruction work inside the residence.
The occupation forced a new number of families residing in that area to forcibly vacate their homes.
Furthermore, occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods in the city of Hebron and the village of Al-Raiyya to the south, detaining three Palestinians, including a released prisoner who had been freed on Thursday and was detained due to the reception gatherings organized by his family, subjecting them to physical assaults and abuse.
For the eighth consecutive day, occupation forces continue to completely seal off the entrances and exits of Hebron, closing the Al-Jalda and Deir Bahhah areas amid daily raids on Palestinian homes and destruction of their contents.
According to official data, the number of families forcibly displaced by the occupation from their homes in the Al-Jalda and Deir Bahhah areas reached 537 families comprising 3,361 individuals, in addition to hundreds of families trapped inside their homes in that area, whom the occupation prevents from moving or receiving aid.
On the economic front, the Hebron Chamber of Commerce estimates direct losses resulting from the closures in the city at between 10 million and 12 million shekels per day, including nearly 1 million shekels in the dairy sector alone.
The aggression caused educational disruptions for approximately 262,000 students across 589 schools governorate-wide over the past week, while thousands of students in besieged and displaced areas remain unable to reach their schools.
Regarding relief and assistance efforts, the Support and Relief Committee appointed by the Governor of Hebron Governorate announced the accreditation of data for 537 affected families comprising 3,361 individuals, including 232 infants, 1,193 children aged between 2 and 17 years, 326 elderly individuals, 147 pregnant and nursing women, 32 persons with disabilities, and 213 individuals with chronic illnesses.
