This came during a reception held by the Turkish Embassy in Amman on Thursday evening to mark the 103rd anniversary of the declaration of the Republic of Turkey, attended by a number of officials, ambassadors, journalists, and invited guests.

Regarding transport and air connectivity, he noted that flight links have become an increasingly important domain in bilateral relations, while land transport provides an alternative for cargo shipping.
He added that Turkish Airlines, AnadoluJet, and Pegasus, alongside Royal Jordanian and Jordan Aviation, jointly operate 124 weekly flights between Turkey and Jordan, highlighting the importance of connecting flights via Istanbul to various global destinations, as well as the opportunities provided by the flight network and visa exemption for developing tourism between the two countries.
He affirmed the depth of Jordanian-Turkish relations rooted in historical bonds of friendship and brotherhood, pointing out that the ties between His Majesty King Abdullah II and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan guide bilateral relations, and that shared political will was demonstrated at the highest levels during His Majesty the King's visit to Turkey on February 7.
He added that next year marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, representing an important opportunity to highlight the depth of bilateral ties and continue their development.
Regarding cultural and educational relations, he noted that the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center in Amman ranking third globally among centers in terms of the number of Turkish language learners reflects Jordanian interest in Turkey, alongside Turkish language departments at Jordanian universities.
He pointed out that the widespread popularity of Turkish television series has contributed to enhancing interest in Turkish language and culture, welcoming those interested in learning Turkish at the Yunus Emre Institute.
He clarified that educational cooperation continues through the Educational Counsel and the Turkish Maarif Foundation, while the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) executes diverse projects in coordination with Jordanian authorities to preserve shared cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations.
Ambassador Çakıl expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the attack targeting Humud Church in Karak Governorate on October 23, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured, and affirming Turkey's strong condemnation of the attack and its solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
On regional affairs, he affirmed that Turkey and Jordan conduct close consultations at various levels regarding regional issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, noting that comprehensive political consultations took place between the foreign ministries of both countries in Ankara this week.
He stated that Palestine remains a bleeding wound in the region amid an unprecedented escalation of settler terrorism and illegal settlement activities in the West Bank.
He emphasized that lasting peace in the region can only be achieved through a just solution, stressing that the two-state solution represents the path toward realizing a just and lasting peace, and that the international community is required to exert all necessary efforts to put this solution into effect.
He affirmed the Republic of Turkey's support for the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, noting that Turkey will continue to provide political and financial support to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in support of its role in delivering comprehensive assistance to Palestinian refugees.
He noted that UNRWA opening an office in Ankara serves as concrete proof of Turkish support for the agency.
