In continuation of its ongoing commitment to supporting community initiatives and enhancing its role in corporate social responsibility, Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) signed a strategic partnership agreement with Tadamun Foundation, a leader in charitable crowdfunding. The agreement aims to foster cooperation in supporting humanitarian and social initiatives and to consolidate values of social solidarity by employing digital solutions and technology to facilitate the delivery of donations to their beneficiaries.
The agreement was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of Jordan Kuwait Bank Group, Mr. Haitham Al-Bateikhi, and the Co-Founder of Tadamun Foundation, Mr. Samih Toukan, in the presence of several employees from both sides.
Tadamun Foundation adopts an innovative crowdfunding model built on transparency and verification of humanitarian cases, ensuring that 100% of donations are directed to beneficiaries without any deductions for operational costs. Since its establishment in 2022, total donations achieved by the foundation in Jordan have reached approximately $1.7 million, benefiting 24,208 direct beneficiaries and supporting 337 documented individual charitable cases. This reflects the foundation's role in enhancing trust in charitable work and providing reliable, effective channels to direct community contributions to those eligible.
Commenting on the agreement, CEO of Jordan Kuwait Bank Group, Mr. Haitham Al-Bateikhi, affirmed that this partnership reflects the bank's continuous commitment to supporting humanitarian and social initiatives that meet community needs and make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families. He noted that social responsibility constitutes an essential part of the bank's role as a national banking institution, and that collaborating with Tadamun comes within its keenness to build effective partnerships that contribute to developing charitable work and enhancing its impact in society.
He added that the bank believes in the importance of leveraging digital solutions and technology to advance charitable endeavors, facilitate the participation of individuals and institutions in humanitarian initiatives, and enhance transparency in directing support and measuring its impact. He emphasized that the success of such partnerships is measured not only by the scale of support provided, but also by the actual impact left on the lives of beneficiaries and the capacity to drive positive and sustainable change in society.
For his part, Co-Founder of Tadamun Foundation, Mr. Samih Toukan, underscored the importance of such partnerships in driving a positive, sustainable impact within the local community and contributing to its development and progress by responding to individual needs across various forms of support. This support may encompass major surgical operations, rebuilding unsafe housing, or covering university tuition for students, among many other areas. He noted that beneficiaries beyond Tadamun view the foundation and its partners as a genuine opportunity to positive change in their lives and fulfill their aspirations. He added: "We commend Jordan Kuwait Bank for its active role in supporting Tadamun's mission and achieving its humanitarian goals, and we at Tadamun are proud to welcome them to our network of partners in our ongoing journey toward building a more supportive and cohesive society."
Tadamun's ecosystem includes a network of individual and corporate donors, strategic philanthropists, partner hospitals and contractors, as well as volunteers and affiliated donors, including partner schools and non-governmental organizations. This contributes to coordinating efforts and broadening the scope of support provided to documented humanitarian cases. The partnership is expected to bolster a culture of giving and social solidarity, extending support across health, education, home renovation, and other fields in various governorates across the Kingdom by offering reliable, efficient donation channels that enable broader participation from individuals and institutions.
This agreement aligns with Jordan Kuwait Bank's CSR strategy and its effort to build effective partnerships with national institutions and initiatives that serve community needs and support vulnerable groups, reinforcing social solidarity and creating a positive, sustainable impact in the lives of individuals and families. The partnership seeks to widen the coverage of documented humanitarian cases and provide broader opportunities for individuals and institutions to participate in charitable work through digital solutions that enhance transparency and trust in donations.
