​Prof. Dr. Ghaleb Oreikat, from the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, participated as an external examiner on the defense committee for the doctoral thesis submitted by researcher Abdullah Mu'in Hijazeen at the Medical Research Institute at Alexandria University in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
​The doctoral thesis addressed the study of the anti-cancer potential of green silver nanoparticles synthesized using Nigella sativa (black seed) extract, evaluating their effects on lung cancer cell lines through the utilization of molecular analysis techniques to uncover the mechanisms associated with their anti-cancer properties.
​The selection of Prof. Dr. Ghaleb Oreikat as an external examiner from outside Egyptian universities comes in recognition of his scientific and research expertise in the fields of biochemistry and medical sciences, reflecting his academic stature and scientific contributions. This participation highlights the research presence of faculty members at Al-Ahliyya Amman University and their engagement in academic and research activities at both the Arab and international levels.
​It is worth noting that researcher Abdullah Mu'in Hijazeen is a graduate of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, having obtained a master's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences before continuing his academic and research journey at the doctoral level.
