The General Iftaa Department mourned on Thursday the martyr of duty and the homeland from the ranks of the Public Security Directorate, Corporal Jwad Al-Salayta, who passed away while performing his duty in preserving the country's security, protecting citizens, and confronting aggressors and corruptors, affirming that the sacrifices of the nation's martyrs will remain a symbol of sacrifice and heroism for the sake of Jordan's security and stability.
The department affirmed in a statement that those who attack security personnel represent the "Khawarij of this era," who have legitimized the inviolable blood forbidden by God and His Messenger, stressing that the treacherous hand that reached out to harm the protectors of the homeland will be severed through the vigilance and determination of the security agencies, the armed forces, and the people of the Jordanian nation.
It stressed that Jordanians from all origins and backgrounds stand united in defending the Kingdom's security and stability, considering that assaulting a security officer is an assault on every Jordanian citizen, and that attempts at terrorism and takfir will not undermine the unity of the national ranks, but will rather increase Jordanians' cohesion and solidarity behind their Hashemite leadership.
