Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, the activities of the Artificial Intelligence in Defense Technology and Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition, AIDTSEC 2023, were launched on Monday, at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center in the Dead Sea region.
The conference activities are organized by the Special Operations Equipment Exhibition and Conference Company (Sofex Jordan).
AIDTSEC 2023 is an important platform for meeting experts, during which the latest modern technologies and solutions in the fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence are presented, organized by the Special Operations Equipment Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX).
AIDTSEC consists of 3 main parts: conference, exhibition and armython.
According to the AIDTSEC 2023 agenda, which the Kingdom reviewed and will last for two days (Monday and Tuesday), several dialogue sessions will be held related to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, including a session related to leading digital transformation through security, in which the Minister of Digital Economy and Pioneer Ahmed Hanandah will participate.
There is also a session related to cybersecurity legislation, drones, and others.
On Saturday, the Jordanian Center for Design and Development (Goodby) launched the first competition of its kind in the Middle East and Africa region specializing in the fields of cybersecurity and encryption, “ARMYTHON 2023.”
The competition was designed for specialists and experts from the armies and security services, under the patronage of the Vice Chairman of the Center’s Directors/General Director, Brigadier General Ayman Ahmed Al-Batran.
Over the course of 3 days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday), the contestants will engage in a variety of challenges that enhance the capabilities of confronting cyber threats and protecting sensitive systems and data. The competition is distinguished by its coverage of more than 7 main areas through more than 120 challenges that were carefully designed and built by specialized Jordanian experts. They have won awards in international competitions in the fields of cybersecurity and cryptography, under the supervision of the Centre’s Cyber Shield Academy.
