MP Fawaz Al-Zoubi warned in an exclusive statement to Rum News Agency of the phenomenon of political hypocrisy under the dome of Parliament, noting that he called the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to talk about the fate of a citizen without receiving a response from the minister or the secretaries-general, as he directed criticism at the ministry’s performance, not at the people.
Al-Zoubi confirmed in his speech to Rum that the Minister of Finance, Muhammad Al-Assas, confirmed his great admiration for the observations he made in discussing the Ministry of Finance’s budget and directed them to be taken into account.
Al-Zoubi explained that he pointed out tax evasion and the need to strike with an iron hand, and with regard to medical exemptions, he pointed out that there are those who receive exemptions without needing them, and that it is the government’s duty to ensure access to the right to treatment and to take care of the treatment of affluent citizens.
Regarding his candidacy for the next session, he continued: “I have completed 36 years as a representative, and I will continue to serve the people.”
