The Qatari Minister of Labor, Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al-Marri, said that the slander, allegations and the negative campaign against Qatar has begun to take another direction in adopting hate and racist rhetoric with the aim of offending the Qatari people and their national team.
Minister Al-Marri explained that the campaign run by some against Qatar has increased in pace during the past weeks without any real justifications, pointing out that what the 2022 World Cup is being exposed to amounts to intellectual and media terrorism and psychological warfare on racist pretexts from some parties that do not like the organization of the tournament in Qatar, and pointed out that the World Cup is a dream for Arab and Muslim generations that will be realized on the land of Qatar.
This came during a speech by the Qatari minister during a hearing before the European Parliament last night on labor reforms in Qatar, which were distributed to the media in Doha, and the Jordan News Agency (Petra) received a copy of it.
The Qatari minister called on international human rights organizations to take firm stances against all those who practice racist and hateful attacks against the Qatari people and their national team, stressing the need for organizations to monitor all unjustified racist violations.
He stressed that Qatar has rapidly adopted, during the past years, the implementation of a series of labor reforms, with the testimony of labor organizations and specialized labor unions, but some parties are trying to ignore all these facts, noting that these parties are republishing and adopting unfounded allegations in Its systematic campaign against Qatar.
He stressed that Qatar has repeatedly demanded, in many international forums, from the plaintiffs of slander to provide it with documents on the number of victims, their names and the scientific methodology they relied on in determining the amounts of compensation, but no actual documents were presented, as the matter does not go beyond media bubbles issued here and there.
