Spain beats Jordan 3-1 in World Cup warm-up match

AMMAN — Spain beat Jordan, 3-1, in a friendly match at the Amman International Stadium, Thursday.

HRH Prince Ali, president of the Jordan Football Association, and Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh were in attendance to watch the match, preceding the Spanish team's participation in the 2022 World Cup hosted by Qatar, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Spain bagged the 3-1 victory, with Ansu Fati, Gavi and Nico Williams scoring.

Jordan’s Ahmad Samir scored the consolation goal in the dying minutes of the match.

Attending the match, crowds enjoyed live performances, including one by Jordanian artist Omar Al Abdallat.
