Amman, March 2, 2024: Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Omar bin Faisal, President of the Jordanian Federation of Electronic Sports, Zain Jordan, through its Center for Electronic Sports (Zain Esports Jo), and in cooperation with the Jordanian Federation of Electronic Sports, gathered a number of experts and decision-makers with professionals, amateurs and fans of electronic games in the Kingdom, in a dialogue session that discussed the development of the electronic games sector in Jordan since 2020 until today, and the remarkable growth that this promising sector witnessed during these years in terms of investment size, competencies working in the field of electronic games industry, and the great demand that the sector is witnessing at the present time by Jordanian youth. The session was held on Thursday evening at the Zain Innovation Platform (ZINC) at the King Hussein Business Association, and was moderated by Mohammed Kanakri, an advisor in the field of electronic games and the CEO of Jordan Digital Sports Company, and he discussed with Salah Hamed, the technical content creator and owner of the “Android Pasha” channel on YouTube, and the national team player for electronic sports and world champion in the game (Efootball) Saif Al-Din Dababneh, and the national team player for electronic sports Dana Qamafa, as well as the session gathered Hazem Bouab, Vice President of the Jordanian Federation of Electronic Sports, and Ahmed Saleh, the accredited referee at the Jordanian Federation of Electronic Sports, in the presence of a number of players and celebrities of electronic games in Jordan and content creators, and owners of Jordanian start-up companies working in the field of electronic games industry, and a group of journalists and interested in this field. The session addressed several areas and axes, the most important of which are the rise and growth of the electronic sports sector in Jordan and at the regional level since 2020, as well as highlighting the job opportunities offered by the electronic games industry sector and its contribution to improving the economy of many countries, as well as addressing the role of advanced technology in developing electronic games, and focusing on the need to raise the level of awareness among the new generation, parents, schools and various sectors of the importance of electronic games and their positive impact on various levels, as well as discussing the correct practices for electronic sports in terms of providing a comfortable playing environment to maintain physical and mental health and how to manage time and invest it positively. The speakers also touched on the great role played by both the Jordanian Federation of Electronic Sports and the Zain Center for Electronic Sports (Zain eSports Jo) in supporting and developing this sector and contributing to its development and expansion in the Kingdom, and providing an incubating environment for developers and professionals of electronic sports and contributing to developing their skills and abilities through the events, competitions and tournaments that are held, to enable them to compete at the local, regional and global levels, and to contribute to making Jordan one of the advanced countries in this field at the regional and global levels. At the end of the session, Zain honored the national team player for electronic sports Saif Al-Din Dababneh for winning the title of the World Championship “Global Sport Gym” in the game “Efootball”, which was held in the Saudi capital Riyadh at the end of 2023. The session received a great interaction from the attendees, where amateurs, professionals and players gathered in one place within a unique enthusiastic atmosphere, exchanged ideas, experiences and experiences among themselves, discussed the challenges they face and how to overcome them, and presented suggestions to develop their work and enhance their activity.
