The company recently provided financial support to contribute to the funding of the project to rebuild and develop the comprehensive health center in Ghor Al-Mazra’a, located in the Southern Ghor area of Karak Governorate. This contributes to serving the health sector in the kingdom and providing comprehensive healthcare to those in need according to the highest standards. The total support provided by Zain for this charitable initiative since 2019 until this year has exceeded half a million Jordanian dinars.
This step by Zain coincides with the celebration of the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein’s constitutional powers. The company is keen in all its programs and initiatives to contribute to the translation of the royal visions to support and promote various sectors and provide the best services to all categories. Through its support for the “Hemmatna” initiative, Zain contributes to updating and developing the health system in the kingdom, and raising the level of services provided. This step is part of the company’s significant interest in the health sector as one of the main sectors included in its corporate social responsibility strategy, in line with the sustainable development goals adopted by Zain in its various programs and initiatives, including the third goal (good health and well-being) and the seventeenth (partnerships to achieve the goals).
On Saturday, the Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Hawari, laid the foundation stone for the project to rebuild and develop the Ghor Al-Mazra’a health center; to announce the start of work on the project that serves 4500 people in the Southern Ghor area in Karak Governorate.
The center’s area after rebuilding and rehabilitation will be about two thousand square meters, where a first floor will be added to expand the center. New medical clinics will be established, such as an internal medicine clinic, an additional dental clinic, an additional general medicine clinic, a community medicine clinic, a dental laboratory, an orthopedic clinic, a pediatric clinic, and a mammogram room. Additionally, a physical therapy and rehabilitation department and a maternal and child health department will be established, along with accommodations for the medical and nursing staff and the addition of an elevator to serve patients.
This project will contribute to the development and improvement of the center’s services to become more comprehensive and inclusive, in addition to increasing the center’s capacity and enabling it to receive a larger number of patients around the clock, as well as improving the patient’s treatment journey and safety.
It is worth mentioning that Zain has supported the “Hemmatna” charity association since its launch in 2019, where it provided support for the cancer center project (Samih Darwazah Cancer Center) at Al-Bashir Hospital, and the project to establish an isolation treatment department at Al-Hussein Medical City. Zain, as a main supporter, funded the project to rehabilitate the Princess Basma Comprehensive Health Center, and today contributes to the funding of rebuilding and developing the comprehensive Ghor Al-Mazra’a health center.
