The CEO of the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC), Eng. Hassan Al-Hiyari, highlighted key achievements of the company's gas division in 2024.
Increased Production: The company filled approximately 35 million 12.5kg domestic gas cylinders in 2024, up from 34 million in 2023. Additionally, 2,989 50kg cylinders were filled.
Enhanced Maintenance: The gas cylinder workshop repaired around 195,000 cylinders, a 13% increase from the 170,000 repaired in 2023.
Cylinder Decommissioning: The company scrapped 43,000 cylinders in 2024, marking a 64% rise from the 30,000 scrapped in 2023. It also sold 109,000 12.5kg cylinders during the year.
Liquefied Gas Imports: JPRC imported 387,000 tonnes of liquefied gas by sea to meet rising demand.
Al-Hiyari emphasized that the company adheres to the highest safety and quality standards throughout all stages of gas cylinder filling. Cylinders undergo rigorous checks, including visual inspections, hydraulic pressure tests, and valve safety verification, ensuring they are entirely safe for consumers.
