Israeli Prime Minister’s office said Sunday that Benjamin Netanyahu is recovering from an illness caused by food poisoning.

The office added that he will continue performing his duties while resting at home over the next three days.

A statement said that Netanyahu, 75, felt unwell overnight and was diagnosed with intestinal inflammation and dehydration. He is receiving intravenous fluids to recover.

“According to doctors’ instructions, the Prime Minister will rest at home for the next three days and will run state affairs from there,” the office said.

Netanyahu had a pacemaker implanted in 2023, and underwent prostate surgery last December following a urinary tract infection diagnosis.
